The claim suggesting that the British queen favors Meghan Markle over the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton emerged following confirmations that Markle will be spending Christmas with the royals on the Sandringham estate in eastern England.
For some commentators this was a sign, a holy revelation that the queen is siding with the US actress.
The invitation was a break in royal protocol under which such an invitation to Markle would only be extended after her wedding to the prince.
It was also pointed out that Kate was not invited to join Prince William back in 2010 to spend the holidays with his family despite the fact that the couple had announced their engagement a month before.

So could the Queen of England be fonder of Markle than Middleton?
According to rumor-debunking site Gossip Cop there is no truth to the suggestion that the Queen prefers Meghan over Kate.
According to the site the move was simply about the royal family becoming more modern.
