If US strikes Syria, Iran, N Korea won't drop nuclear weapons programs - Russian parliamentary

Алексей Пушков постскриптум

The US is wrong if it expects that a strike on Syria would prompt North Korea and Iran to drop their nuclear weapons programs, Russian State Duma international affairs committee head Alexei Pushkov said.

"Obama is wrong if he thinks that strikes on Syria would prompt the DPRK and Iran to drop their plans to create nuclear weapons. The US would only achieve an opposite effect," Pushkov said on Twitter on Saturday.

"Pyongyang has already reached the conclusion that, if Yugoslavia, Iraq, Libya and Syria had nuclear weapons, the US would not have dared attack these countries," Pushkov said.
