Russia to contribute more heavily to world space activity

Russia is going to increase its contribution to world space activity from the current 10% to 15% to become the leading space-exploring nation and a player on the space service market.

This came in a statement for the Cuban mass media by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

According to him, Russia has adopted a programme of space research until the year 2020, with some 60 billion dollars earmarked for the purpose.

Medvedev pointed out that Moscow will build its space satellite group.
