Russia awaits Egyptian President Morsi's visit  - Putin

Russian President Vladimir Putin expects Egypt to ensure domestic political stability and to overcome existing problems. Moscow is also looking forward to a visit from Morsi, the Putin said on Thursday while receiving credentials from foreign ambassadors.

"We value time-tested relations with the Arab Republic of Egypt. Hopefully, Egyptian friends will attain domestic political stabilization and overcome socioeconomic problems. We are expecting President Mursi to visit our country," Putin said.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has received credentials from new ambassadors of 19 countries.

The credentials were presented by ambassadors of Spain, Cuba, Mexico, Serbia, Australia, Estonia, the Philippines, Sudan, Egypt, New Zealand and other countries.

The event signified the start of their official diplomatic work in Russia. The ceremony was held in the Alexander Hall of the Grand Kremlin Palace. Some ambassadors were dressed in their national costumes, though the majority wore black and dark-blue outfits.
