Cyprus, lenders - no deal yet

Cyprus and the troika of international creditors failed on Wednesday to agree the terms of an additional bailout tranche, with a government representative pointing to lingering differences on key issues.

Stefanos Stefanou added that the government remained true to its pledge to reach an acceptable solution with the EU the IMF, which are expected to press for serious spending cuts by the Cypriot government.

The government, meanwhile, is apparently taking its time trying to get a better deal.
