Social media users are making fun of British Prime Minister Theresa May over a photograph of her sitting alone in a meeting room calling it an analogy for her solitary political position. Twitter users launched an avalanche of hilarious tweets about the photo.

In the viral photo, May is seen sitting alone at a large table decorated with four potted plants, deep in thoughts. Internet users quickly drew parallels between the photo and her political position within the Brexit negotiations and her Conservative Party.

Another user said that the event looks like her funeral, and no one has showed up to say goodbye.

"Theresa May and all her friends in the same photo," Nasmamu joked.

“Theresa May sitting alone in an EU summit. The picture looks like a metaphor for how her negotiations are going,” one Twitter user wrote.

“I genuinely thought this was a stock image representing absolute loneliness. But no. It’s our Prime Minister in Brussels today,” said another tweet.

Some users wrote that May looks like she is upset by the consequences of her own policy.

A few mentioned Brexit and said that May is attending Brexit’s funeral. While one user suggested that the funeral is actually of Britain’s economy.

In another funny tweet a user suggested that the photo represents Theresa May attending a “Theresa May Appreciation Fan Club Society” meeting.

Theresa May was in fact waiting for European Council President Donald Tusk, to discuss the Brexit negotiations.
