    US, Japan Request Urgent UN Security Council Consultations on N. Korea

    The US mission to the United Nations said that United States, Japan and South Korea had requested urgent UN Security Council consultations on ballistic missile launches conducted by North Korea.

    UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — United States, Japan and South Korea requested urgent UN Security Council consultations on ballistic missile launches conducted by North Korea, the US mission to the United Nations said in statement.

    "The United States and Japan in coordination with the Republic of Korea [South Korea], have requested urgent Security Council consultations on North Korea's ballistic missile launches," statement says. "Timing for the meeting to be determined."
