    Fats Domino, one of the biggest stars of the rock 'n' roll era died this month, aged 89. Sputnik looks at the halcyon days of rock 'n' roll in the late 1950s and early 1960s and finds out if any of the "greats" are still alive.

    The Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, has inducted singers as varied as Bob Marley and Elton John, but the phrase was coined in the 1950s and is forever associated with these singers.
