Putin Sees 'Maidan-Style' Attempts in US to Delegitimize Trump

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that he sees attempts in the United States to "delegitimize" US President-elect Donald Trump using "Maidan-style" methods previously used in Ukraine.

Putin noted that an internal political struggle is underway in the United States despite the fact that the presidential election is over.

"In my opinion, there are several goals, some are obvious. The first is to undermine the legitimacy of the elected president of the United States. Incidentally, in this connection I would like to note that — whether people who do it want it or don't want — they greatly damage US interests."

"It seems that they trained for this in Kiev and now are ready to organize a 'Maidan' in Washington not to let Trump assume office," Putin said during a news conference with his Moldovan counterpart Igor Dodon in Moscow

"The second goal is to tie the hands of legs of the newly-elect president related to the implementation of his pre-election campaign's promises to the American people and the international community," he added.

He also said that reports of alleged Russian dossier on Trump are fake as "our security services do not chase every US billionaire."

"These claims are an obvious fake. Trump, when he came to Moscow a few years ago was not a politician. We did not even know about his political ambitions, he was just a businessman, one of the richest men in America. Is someone really thinking that our intelligence agencies are chasing every American billionaire, or what? Of course not! It's just a complete nonsense."

Those who ordered the dossier on the US president-elect are "worse than prostitutes," Putin said.

"Prostitution is an ugly social phenomenon… But people who order such fakes which are now used against the elected president of the United States, fabricate information and use it in the political struggle, they are worse than prostitutes, they have no moral limits," Putin said.

Putin said that such a situation shows a "significant degradation of political elites in the West, including in the US." However, he said that he hopes that common sense will prevail.

"I hope that the common sense will prevail. It concerns the relations between the US and its allies, including in Europe. The outgoing administration involved many European political leaders in the American domestic struggle and current issues are a result of these activities."

The Wall Street Journal cited people familiar with the matter on Wednesday that ex-MI6 officer Christopher Steele was the author of the alleged dossier that was widely spread across media outlets, claiming about Donald Trump's alleged activities related to a "golden shower" on a trip to Moscow.

The memos, which BuzzFeed admitted were unsupported and which the CNN did not fully disclose due to lack of independent corroboration, alleged that Russian intelligence had cultivated Trump and had collected compromising material on Trump.

The Kremlin said earlier that Russia does not engage in collecting so-called compromising material on political figures.

He said that he didn't meet Trump and he has no reasons to "attack or defend him."

"I don't know Mr. Trump, I have never met him, I don't know what he will do in the international arena, so I have no reason either to attack him, criticize him or defend him."

Putin noted that there is a category of people who leave without saying goodbye, "out of respect for the present situation," while others say goodbye all the time, but do not go away. "The outgoing administration, in my opinion, belongs to the second category," he concluded.

Jet fuel can't melt steel beams, Hi Jet! Cool to see you here... you've been a bit quiet, or have I just somehow got to miss your comments? You know, its quite strange, that although Putin is the Russian president, he somehow has become the President carrying the world right now .... through these unbelievable crises...

choticastile, hello there! Good to see you posting and thanks for that point on PCR which I checked out after reading your comment on his site. You're right, PCR does think there's a risk for the incoming president sadly- and he's unequivocal about what happened in 1963.
So yes, your comments are always worth taking serious note of.
      All the best!

choticastile, your idea or whatever you make of your "third world country" comment betrays an ignorance of your understanding of things that I wish to inform you about. First of all did you wonder how many worlds were there in this world "global community" planet we call Earth? Believe it or not China is a "developing country!" The "East" and the "West," does its borders really shift, and who draws the line? Are you "Black" or "White" or "Yellow" or "Red?"
There are a lot of acronyms, suffixes, prefixes, NATO names given to Russian crafts for instance, and many other derived adjectives used to describe castes of people if you may in this world by the so called "Western" elite for a long time now, and considering you mentioning "widespread morally and spiritually bankrupt satanic cult plaguing our world," and things like that made me think you'd spotted the coy. I just wanted to bring to your attention the subtlety of these brainwashing dogmatic terminologies that can creep into your subconscience and make you feel superior or privileged in comparison to others and lose your humanity, thereby thinking Israelis are in any way better humans than the Palestinians for example, or the "Aryans" to the Jews.
You would think "Caucasians" in the United States all came from the Caucasus in southern Russia as it should be. There are no "White" people in Europe but Portuguese, French, German, Dutch, Greek, Italian, Irish, and so on, only turning "white" or "black" or "white Hispanic" among other classifications upon entering America the hegemon. "Racism" is exported to places like Australia and elsewhere from the United States of America. And just like the non-existent "white" people in Europe there are no "black" people in Africa but the indigenous natives of the sub-saharan continent and of course semetic people with unique identities, just like everywhere else.
Prejudice, Oppression, Repression, Indoctrination, Discrimination, Segregation, Suppression, Intimidation, Harassment, Exploitation, Antagonism, Aggression, Violence and other abominations are the hallmarks of this elitist agenda that I clearly want to bring your attention to.

choticastile, Hi Choticastille! Yes i've been quiet a while (not recently though =)) And I agree, Putin represents whay we are looking for in a politician in our own country.. in vain unfortunately..and i think that he knows what those "partners as he calls them" are up to. Let's see with trump what will happen (since that trump is against some russia's allies aka china and iran).

Once again I can only marvel at President Putin's way with words - he expresses profound thinking with such elegant economy and goes straight to the heart of the matter. Almost needless to say it, he is absolutely right - as always.

      Great observation!
    • choticastilein reply toGentle Eagle(Show commentHide comment)
Gentle Eagle, First off-- Whoa!! Secondly, like you-- I see the world as humankind-- as fellow human beings-- no matter which race, creed or culture each nation consists of or embraces... So no offence meant and apologise if perhaps I did not express myself very clearly. Don't misconstrue my mention of a Third World Country, or that I'd applied it in a derogatory sense at all-- Rather I meant to convey that especially some third world or developing countries, continue to be targets of western powers, most of them still vulnerable to exploitation and proxy regimes-- or even an outright coup d'etat, mainly by the minions of the global cabal who hijacked not only the US, but still to a greater or lessor degree, hold most countries throughout the world to financial ransom. In other words, the lesser developed countries are more susceptible to full on plunder, despite even the bravest resistance-- one simply has to look at Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, lately Somalia and don't forget Yemen and Myanmar etc...

How I ask, Gentle Eagle-- were any of these countries, able to defend their territorial integrity against the most powerful military on the planet? Syria too, would have fallen, were it not that Russia responded by coming to her aid. Look at what is happening even in Kenya and Nigeria and to a lessor extent at this point, to Zimbabwe, Burundi, possibly even Mozambique and even in South Africa??? --

The cabal who virtually owns 80% of all global assets-- central banks, global stock markets, big corps etc-- I call them the global bankster gangsters-- have no allegiance to any nation-- only to their ungodly global ideology and agenda.... So, that is why I followed up with saying that assassinations, although far more rare now than a few years ago, still occur and with less hue and cry in third world states, lacking the means to defend their land-- Still Africa's political leaders of today, have become deeply aware of western shenanigans, but they're up against a global cabal, the most powerful on the planet-- So the story continues-- I have grave concerns for India too-- the diktat of this cabal infiltrates on all levels-- wheels within wheels-- Russia said NO-- the buck stops here! So now she's Enemy No One-- Unwilling states are generally hit economically, or by creating inner conflicts often spilling into full blown wars-- so yes, as I watch the hold the global cabal still has on so many countries globally, I find it difficult to not feel absolute outrage at this ongoing invasion of the sovereignty of specifically, African states.

So my brother, my comment had no racist overtones ar all-- and if you understood it as such, as I said, I hope you now, follow the context in which I applied it.

However, not knowing what research you've done about the globalist menace threatening world peace, should you simply watch the official CERN opening ceremony, you would probably not be able to ignore the satanic symbolism it represents from beginning to end.... its not the only material to show exactly what the world and all its ordinary folks and most of their leaders, are dealing with, are resisting in order to defeat those whose desire it is to turn our world into a veritable prison planet--- a sewer of morally depraved and spiritually bankrupt humanity-- But then-- you need to arrive at your own conclusions-- the world ain't ever gonna be perfect, but at the very least all its inhabitants should have equal opportunities to enjoy a reasonable standard of living, affording them a relatively secure future....

As the old story goes, the best things in life are free--- but no sir, not if the global bankster gangsters can get their way. However, the good news is, that people globally are waking up and becoming aware of the common threat facing us all and this is at last serving to unite us... resulting in us setting aside our differences and reaching out to each other in defence of what is our inalienable human rights-- its great as its bringing about the rediscovery and celebration of our common humanity. Forgive typos-- late here-- bed is calling...

choticastile, good reading of you! You seem to be well read but to be certain there are no "third world countries" as it clearly is derogatory and underhanded and still would prefer you say "poorer countries" or "less developed countries" if you weren't a part of this global cabal you mention of nor their minion.
You called me Brother, no sir. How do you know my gender?
    • choticastilein reply toGentle Eagle(Show commentHide comment)
Gentle Eagle, Will be surprised if you're a lady! Your name sounds masculine and gentle but strong and protective-- a woman would possibly have chosen Gentle Dove?-- (laughing!) -- As for an Eagle, this magnificent soaring king of the sky, is more associated with that of a man-- a defender! And yes you are my brother-- we're all brothers and sisters-- some just so wrapped up in the transience of this ruddy old world, that tragically their souls are so covered with dirt, that no light shines through-- their thoughts and actions dark and evil. But guess its the way things are in this world where both negative and positive apply and is mostly out of sync...

Have never looked upon the name "third world" as derogatory, because countries are generally graded into categories by global organisations-- to enable ease of reference, because to attain Second and First World status countries must possess certain infrastructures, utilities, harbours, roads and bridges, health services and hospitals, policing, defence capabilities, tourism, etc and stable economic strength to ensure steady ongoing growth as well as abilities to cope with emergencies and natural disasters.

I'm not a part of the global cabal-- God be thanked!! I have commented here since Sputnik's birth-- which is my favourite online site and RT my favourite TV channel-- simply because I want truth-- as most of us do here... and Russia is the only country-- with the guts to bring the world the truth!!!

No-- arrogant people may say-- mostly in derision, "Oh, that's just so Third World!" while others will say with longing-- "The people of the third world are still so in touch with their traditions and inner selves!" while yet others choose third world countries as their chosen holiday destinations, because their natural beauty is so pristine and unspoiled and off the beaten track, they're not crowded and still offer the magic which, unforgettable vacation experiences, holiday makers return to again and again, as not only the beauty of nature, but the spontaneous innocence and genuine friendliness of the local populations are enchanting, captivating jaded travellers searching for what their own built up and industrialised countries lost long ago... Less is mostly more... For instance, Chile has one of the most advanced astronomical observatories in the world in their Atacama Desert (the ALMA), yet Chile is still a Third World country--- Here is a link which provides good info on why countries are called First, Second and Third World...

So no mistake-- It is not an underhanded description at all! Look at Indonesia and its gorgeous beaches at Banda Aceh and Phuket in Thailand -- Not even the dreadful tsunami of 2004 can keep holiday makers away--- they swarm there to this day...

In a world that's so commercialised, we should feel proud and consider ourselves exceptionally blessed to still enjoy the lifestyles we have in Third World countries...Advantages far outweigh drawbacks, if any....
No way I'll ever leave it for a First World country, which may have all the modern cons available to Man---! Some countries struggle to develop and move ahead, but in many ways, the delays are a blessing, because they retain their charm and when tourism is cultivated, but remains quaint and not too westernised, it will only grow in popularity year on year.... I Cleanliness is literally the most critical criteria people wish to have.

    • Gentle Eaglein reply tochoticastile(Show commentHide comment)
choticastile, thing is there's no mention of "second world" nor "first world" countries at all, the jargon doesn't exist anywhere in official circles! And that is a fake grading to impose if you'll get it now or never. I could also ignore that presumption outrightly, yet you used the "third world" meme in a slanderous way to make a point at the expense.
I'm not being judgemental here buddy and you're wholly entitled to your opinion. I believed we're on the same side of the Ying Yang spectrum or sphere of thought as there are no grey areas between here and there although in varying degrees here or there, and obviously cannot experience an identical thought pattern.
You're becoming incoherent and note you making things up about the "third world" debacle to soothe the assertions you've already made. It's not the first time I heard that "third world" jargon, just tried to take the lid off for you.

*I checked out the blog post you're using in your argument. It's an opinion piece either way. You are free to think what you want. I'm not what you think I am.

I'm pretty sure that DT will have the support of Republican Congress and Senate at least as long as the new judge on the supreme court is not elected. After that new judge is declared the Republicans may make it much harder for DT since they think tanks want more NeoCon politics. But giving up the supreme court judge, no Republican will face that threat!!
