German police have searched the building of a local administration in the Hamburg-Nord district, as well as the office of FKP Scorpio, the company that organized the Rolling Stones concert in Hamburg.
The move came following revelations that about 100 German officials received free tickets to the event.
In an interview with German media, representatives of the local administration called this distribution a standard practice.
The concert took place in September 2017. It was attended by over 80,000 Rolling Stones fans, some of whom paid up to 800 euros for tickets on the secondary market to get in, media reported.
The head of the Hamburg-Nord local administration, Harald Rösler said that free tickets were distributed to local politicians, administration employees and their relatives, according to Pollstar.

He also stressed that the administration staff worked for free and overtime to organize this concert, which, he said, was the largest in the history of the city.
In Germany, officials are forbidden from receiving expensive gifts. There are strict regulations on what kinds of presents civil servants are allowed to accept.
