The ministry added that the party received 41.25% of votes after 56.76 percent of ballots count, the state's Interior Ministry said Sunday.
According to the ministry's data, Macron's party is followed by the biggest opposition party, The Republicans, with 22.59 percent, Marine Le Pen's National Front is winning 9.93 percent and Socialist Party is seen to score 6.24 percent, while Jean-Luc Melenchon's Unsubmissive France is gaining only 2.89 percent.
Earlier in the day, the Interior Ministry said that the voter turnout stood at 35.33 percent by 5 p.m. local time.
According to the Ipsos/Sopra Steria poll published Sunday the final abstention may reach 57 percent, which is considerably higher than in 2012 (44,6 percent). This is also the highest figure France saw since 1958, the beginning of the Fifth Republic.
