A very rare and dangerous African snake belonging to the viper family was detected in Vinarac, a village in Kosovo, while the majority of such snakes can be found only in the southern and southeastern regions of Africa, local media reported.

African vipers are considered one of the most venomous snakes whose bites annually kill about 20,000 people. One viper usually has enough venom to kill five adult men. In addition, it is among the fastest biters.

However, these facts did not prevent a resident of the village Ibrahim Robi from killing the two-meter-long serpent, which was detected by the man near the place where the villagers usually take walks. He also sent the snake's photos to the Pristina newspaper Ekspress, which reported about the case.
