The EU should stop following the aggressive policy of Washington in the Ukrainian conflict, French politician Carl Lang told Sputnik.
"In the situation with Ukraine it is extremely important that Europeans understand: they have grown up and don’t have to follow the aggressive diplomacy of Americans or the imperialist policy of the United States," Lange said.
According to him, EU and France play a special role in the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict. Both the EU and France have to find a political solution that will take into account the interests of Europe, Ukraine and Russia, he argues.
The EU and France should not take into account US diplomacy and its interests as it is not seeking a peaceful solution to the Ukrainian crisis, Lange said.
With regard to France’s membership in NATO, the politician argues that Paris serves a diplomatic strategy, which is not in the interests of Europe, because NATO is a structure under US control.
