The woman owed more than 100,000 rubles ($1,500) to one of the local banks. She was unemployed and as her deposit account was empty the bailiffs turned up to recover her possessions.
"The bailiffs arrived at the debtor’s address in order to assess the value of her possessions. When they rang the doorbell, it took some time before the woman opened the door. Rattling and rustling sounds were heard from her flat. During the inspection, a man fell out of a closet in the living room making everyone speechless with surprise," the Russian Federal Bailiff Service media office reports.
When the bailiffs finally gathered their wits, they asked the stranger why he was in the closet. Apparently, when the heard the doorbell he assumed that it was his lover’s husband returning home and so quickly scrambled for somewhere to hide.
The bailiffs repossessed the closet, minus the lover, along with household appliances worth 50,000 rubles.
