The news of the arrest of the politician responsible for starting the impeachment process, which resulted in prosecution of the elected president, Dilma Rousseff, was no longer so sensational.
After a series of corruption scandals, in which he was involved, the arrest of Cunha was so expected, that it was not so surprising, despite the long time it took to implement it.
Much more attention was paid to a good-looking policeman, Lucas Valenca, who accompanied Cunha during his arrest.
In the photos that appeared online, Valenca rather than putting on a standard policeman's outfit, wore dark blue jeans, a black T-shirt with a logo, black boots, a carefully coiffed beard and an ubiquitous man bun.
His look has been called the embodiment of hipster fashion and was quite unusual for a policeman escorting a politician accused of taking bribes onto a plane.
Brazilian news site O Globo discovered the policeman's identity and within less than half an hour the number of subscribers to the profile of Lucas Valenca on Instagram [@ valenca26] increased fivefold and the number continues to grow.
He has already built up quite a fan base on Instagram, with some of his posts receiving more than 21,000 likes.
Currently, the young man’s page has 182,000 followers. In one of his most popular photos Lucas is shirtless, resting in a hammock and playing with two of his dogs. His tattoos, beard and long hair are tied up in a bun.
His album on Instagram is full of his photos on beaches and exotic locations. There are many photos of him with his friends.
His Instagram followers are certainly very fond of him.
