A Dallas assistant district attorney has been fired after a record of her insulting drunken tirade against an Uber driver was made public on local media.

On Friday night, Jody Warner was intoxicated and took an Uber taxi to get back home from a Dallas pub. The driver, 26-year-old Shaun Platt told ABC News that the situation went wrong after his passenger told him to stop using GPS and to listen to her directions to get her home and then stopped giving them.

They started to argue and then Warner verbally insulted him  several times. Platt stopped the car, ended the ride in the app and told her to step out of the vehicle, but she refused.

"She kept saying she’s an assistant DA and said, 'Who are they gonna believe you or me?' And I said, 'You know what, you’re kind of right,'" Platt told ABC News. "So I took out my phone and I recorded it."

Warner then continued her insulting diatribe when the driver said he was waiting for cops.

"I want to go home so badly but you’re so stupid. I want the cops to come so that they can f**k you up. That’s what I want. Like you’re such an idiot, I want the cops to come," she said, according to the recording Platt handed to the Dallas Morning News.

He also claimed that at some point Warner struck him.

On Monday, Dallas County District Attorney Faith Johnson announced on Facebook she had decided to fire Warner, saying "her behavior is contrary to this office’s core principle of integrity, and it will not be tolerated."

On Tuesday, Warner held a news conference where she apologized for her behavior. She said she was scared after Platt went a different way to her home.

"I’m very sorry for the language I used. I’m not proud of it. I appreciate being given the opportunity to give my side. I’m not trying to make any accusations against that driver," she said, adding, however, that she did not try to hit the driver.
