Daesh, chemical weapon and ammunition storage facility, situated nearly Syria's Raqqa, was hit by the US-led coalition airforces, according to Combined Joint Task Force - Operation Inherent Resolve.

US Coalition Airstrikes Against Daesh Hit 11 Roads Around Iraq’s Mosul
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US-led coalition against the Islamic State conducted eight airstrikes against the jihadist group in Iraq and Syria, also known as Daesh, on Thursday, hitting terrorists’ chemical weapons storage near the Syrian city of Raqqa, Combined Joint Task Force — Operation Inherent Resolve said in a press release.

"Near Ar Raqqah, one strike engaged an ISIL [Daesh] chemical weapon and ammunition storage facility," the release stated on Friday.

Three additional airstrikes in Syria targeted an Daesh tactical unit, oil well heads, tanker trucks and a work-over rig near the cities of Deir ez-Zor and Shaddadi.

In Iraq, the coalition carried out four airstrikes near the cities of Haditha and Mosul. The airstrikes destroyed tactical units, fighting positions and damages supply routes, among other targets, the task force said.

The US-led coalition of more than 60 nations has been conducting airstrikes against the Daesh in Syria and Iraq since 2014. However, the strikes in Syria are not authorized by the legitimate government of President Bashar Assad or by the UN Security Council.

The Daesh is outlawed in the United States, Russia and other countries.
