The video, captured by Lisa Michaels, was taken at Kure Beach, North Carolina, amid heightened shark alerts. The shark, which appears to have been thrown a good distance from the ocean by powerful waves, is seen struggling on the sand when a beackgoer runs and grabs it by the tail. In what seems to be a challenging, not to mention frightening, feat, the man begins to drag the shark back into the ocean as it wriggles uncontrollably on the shore.
Michaels told WSOC-TV that there were at least three sharks swimming underneath the pear nearby at the time of the video.
