WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States’ efforts to find a diplomatic solution to end the conflict in Syria were not successful, but it was the right approach at the time, US President Barack Obama said in a news conference on Friday.
"I cannot claim that we have been successful and that's something that is true with a lot of issues and problems around the world I have to go to bed with every night," Obama stated." But I continue to believe that it was the right approach, given what realistically we could get done."
