Ode to Empire: Russian Lawmaker Lambasts Clinton's Article on US Exceptionalism
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States remains exceptionally strong, with tremendous military power, a resilient economy and world-leading technologies, the defense secretary added.

"It is not going to be 1945 again, where the rest of the world was in ruins and the United States is the only power left standing," Carter said at an event in Washington, DC sponsored by The Atlantic magazine. "We remain a very influential power, not dispositive, in the world and I expect that to continue."
