WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Pilots managed to eject safely after two F-16 fighter jets crashed near Jefferson County in the US state of Georgia, South Carolina Air National Guard said in a press release on Wednesday.

"The pilots of each of the single-seat aircraft ejected safely after a mid-air collision while performing routine night-flying operations," the release stated.
The National Guard said no injuries were reported on the ground. The US Air Force will be conducting investigation of the incident, according to the release.
On June 2, another F-16 jet crashed after a flyover demonstration at the US Air Force Academy graduation ceremony attended by President Barack Obama.
