Reports say the object was first seen November 23 around 3:15 p.m. local time. The eyewitness who shot the footage claimed that over the course of four minutes the craft changed shape multiple times.
"I noticed the reflection of light in the sky…It was stationary, and appeared to change shape," the witness said, according to the Mirror.
The Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) is currently investigating the sighting. Some people are convinced that alien spacecraft exist, but most UFO sightings are consistently explained as being satellites, balloons, meteors and ball lightning.
Compared to the rest of the country, Houston’s UFO sighting figures are fairly low, with the National UFO Reporting Center reporting 8.8 sightings per 100,000 people in Harris County, where Houston is located.
