Russia Does Everything to Minimize Doping Scandal Ahead of Olympics
MOSCOW (Sputnik) Russian President Vladimir Putin said Thursday that Russia would fight so that all decisions on the participation of Russian athletes in the Olympics would be fair.

"Of course we will fight for all decisions to be fair…the Russian Ministry of Sport, our sports organizations are working with good international lawyers to assess all aspects of this problem," Putin said during his annual Q&A session.

"Moreover, we know now that WADA is revising some of its approaches to the use of a well known drug [meldonium] and studying not only its clinical features, but also its excretion from the body," the president noted.
