Independent Polish journalist Bohdan Pietka spoke to Sputnik regarding the migrant crisis in Europe and how the refugees should be directed to the US consulates in European capitals and demand refugee status in the United States.

“If we talk about our policies, they are under pressure from the EU leadership. None of them dare to express an opinion, which to some extent was similar to the opinion of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and President of the Czech Republic Milos Zeman. However, within Polish society the mood is somewhat different. It is full of skepticism and negative forebodings,” Pietka told Sputnik.

He went on to explain that Poles in fact are not xenophobes, but they have some concerns about Islamic fundamentalism. “We have to remember the tragic terrorist attacks about 10 years ago in Madrid and London. There is a major question which Brussels prefers to gloss over: Do they really have to accept immigrants into the EU?”

“Maybe it is harsh, but it is necessary to send the refugees to the nearest US embassy or consulates! It is the US that created the problem and Europe is now trying to deal with it,” Pietka said.

“It was through the efforts of Washington which resulted in the destabilization of the political situation in the Middle East and North Africa, which led eventually to the emergence of Islamic State and the influx of immigrants to Europe. It is the US’ fault,” he continued.

The journalist further said that the prospect of political instability in Europe is unfortunately very real as there are huge waves of refugees coming from North Africa and the Middle East to Europe.

In the UK, Spain and France there are immigrants that have been living there for some decades now and some of them did not want to integrate into European society, which is why there are various kinds of clashes there.

“Right now we also hear that among the refugees who poured into Europe, there are perhaps Islamic extremists; they are so-called agents of Islamic State. We learn that the waves of refugees coming to Europe are not spontaneous and that they are being sent by ISIL!” Pietka told Sputnik.

He elaborated by saying that Brussels prefers not to talk about this. “Here we can recall the times of the collapse of the Roman Empire, the Great Migration, when there were civilizational clashes. Well, these analogies are quite adequate in this case but if someone wants to warn Europe against such a danger, they are then immediately branded as xenophobic.”

He concluded by saying that this word is thrown at Viktor Orban, Milos Zeman and at former Czech President Vaclav Klaus. “Brussels on the other hand, prefers not to consider the real future danger but to simply build some utopian plan, which is what’s happening in the European Union right now.”
