At least 35 Egyptian nationals have been kidnapped early this week in Libya despite continuous airstrikes by Egyptian military.
The reports of people going missing started Monday. Early Tuesday a relative of an Egyptian official managed to make a phone call to report his and presumably 34 others abductions in Libya, according to local media. All communications with him were lost after the initial call.
After the brutal execution of 21 Coptic Egyptians by ISIL on Sunday, Egypt has been retaliating with airstrikes.
