US Navy Awards Frontier Technology $20Mln to Improve Spacecraft Assembly

The Department of Defense said that the US Navy has awarded Frontier Technology an almost $20 million contract to create improvements in spacecraft assembly, integration and testing.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Navy has awarded Frontier Technology an almost $20 million contract to create improvements in spacecraft assembly, integration and testing, the Department of Defense said in a press release.

"Frontier Technology [of] Beavercreek, Ohio is being awarded $19,644,872 for… small business innovative research (SBIR) Phase III work… [on] Improvements in Spacecraft Assembly, Integration and Test," the release stated on Tuesday

Work on the project will last for five years and is expected to be completed in July 2022, the Defense Department noted.
