EU, US Sign Military Logistical Assistance Agreement
13:08 GMT 06.12.2016 (Updated: 12:00 GMT 09.02.2023) Representatives of the European Union and the United States on Tuesday signed an agreement aimed at facilitation of bilateral logistical support during military operations, the European External Action Service (EEAS) said in a press release.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The sides to the agreement have described it as "a major milestone" in bilateral military cooperation which would help to reinforce strategic partnership between the European Union and NATO.
"The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini and the US Secretary of State, John Kerry signed an EU-US Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Agreement (ACSA) today [Tuesday]," the press release read.
