MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Iraqi Troops killed 75 militants of the Daesh terrorist group from October 26 through October 28 in the Anbar province, the joint military command said Saturday.
"Between October 26 and October 28, 2017, 75 terrorists were killed; nine car bombs and ten vehicles were destroyed; 378 bombs were disarmed; three command posts, four workshops on explosives production, seven weapons depots and a communication center were destroyed," the statement said.
On Saturday, the Iraqi Armed Forces in cooperation with militias liberated from jihadists five villages near the Qa'im town in the country's west.
Iraqi authorities announced on Thursday the start of a final offensive against Daesh in its last remaining holdouts in the country, in the towns of Qa'im and Rawa, near the border with Syria.
