NATO Chief Condemns Deadly Attack on NATO Convoy in Afghanistan
WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The four wounded soldiers are being treated at a coalition medical facility, and their wounds are not considered life-threatening, the statement added.

"Resolute Support can confirm that two US soldiers were killed and four US soldiers were injured in an attack on a NATO convoy in Kandahar Province yesterday afternoon," the statement said.

NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg earlier condemned the attack on the convoy. Afghanistan’s TOLOnews broadcaster reported on Wednesday that the forces came under fire while heading to the airport.

The attack comes as the United States is reviewing its troop presence in Afghanistan amid an increase in Taliban assaults on military and civilian targets. No one has claimed responsibility for the Kandahar attack.
