MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Cooperation between Russia and the United States is crucial for the settlement of the Syrian conflict, Carter Page, Managing Partner of Global Energy Capital LLC, told Sputnik.
"An incrementally positive end result for Syria will simply not be achievable without an increased level of cooperation between the U.S. and Russia," Page said.
He also stressed that the number of potential solutions to the Syrian conflict had decreased proportionally to deterioration of relations between the two countries, and recent steps by Turkey and Russia to increase their cooperation only underlined this point.
