WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — An airstrike of the US-led coalition against the Daesh has killed the terrorist group’s emir for the Iraqi Anbar province, US Department of Defense spokesperson Peter Cook said in a briefing on Monday.
"On May 6, a coalition airstrike targeted Abu Waheeb, ISIL’s [Islamic State’s] military emir for Anbar province," Cook stated. "That strike was successful, killing Abu Waheeb and three other ISIL’s jihadists."
