"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted four strikes using ground-attack, attack, and fighter aircraft against ISIL targets. Additionally in Iraq, Coalition military forces conducted 20 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq," the release said.
In addition to the safe house, targets in Syria included tactical units, seven bunkers, an assembly area and a vehicle bomb at sites near the towns of Mara and Manbij, according to the Joint Task Force.
In Iraq, coalition forces hit sites near the towns of Baghdadi, Habbaniyah, Hit, Mosul, and Sinjar among others. Targets included nine tactical units, fighting positions, assembly areas, two tunnels, a safe house, and a vehicle bomb.
The Islamic State is a terrorist group outlawed in the United States, Russia and numerous other countries. The infamous group has seized large areas in Syria and Iraq and declared a caliphate on territories under its control.
