The airstrikes were conducted amid media reports of unidentified gunmen murdering five Syrians in ISIL-held territory on Thursday.
In Iraq, the airstrikes destroyed an ISIL tactical unit and a fighting position near Al Asad; two vehicles and an artillery piece near Fallujah; and an IS tactical unit near Mosul, the statement said.
CENTCOM explained that an airstrike near Haditha aided the movement of friendly military forces.
Operation Inherent Resolve airstrikes are tasked with eliminating the IS militants and the threat they pose to Iraq, Syria, the Middle East, and the rest of the world.
