Magnitude 6.0 Quake Hits Off Coast of Nicaragua - USGS
04:49 GMT 25.11.2018 (Updated: 13:07 GMT 09.02.2023) MOSCOW (Sputnik) - A magnitude 6.0 earthquake occurred 20 miles off the coast of Nicaragua, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS). The tremor was registered at 03.40 GMT.
The epicenter was located at a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles), some 259 kilometers (161 miles) away from the city of Puerto Cabezas in northeastern Nicaragua.
There have been no reports of casualties or damage caused by the earthquake so far.
