MEXICO CITY, February 24 (Sputnik) — The website of the Chilean Ministry of National Defense has been hacked by the alleged Islamic State supporters.
"We are ISIS. Don't forget me," one of the messages posted on the ministry's website by the hacker nicknamed "Sadam Husein" on Monday read.
The next message, originally in Spanish claimed: "Allah is the only God." The hacker also claimed that the website security was low.
The attack lasted for about an hour, when the team in charge of the website managed to restore regular administrative access, radio Bio-Bio reported.
An investigation is to be initiated to find out the origin of the security breach, a statement from Chili's Ministry of Defense said.
Pro-IS "hacktivists" regularly hijack websites, including social networks accounts, to post threats and to proclaim the superiority of the terrorist group. Cyber-attacks by IS-affiliates include, attacks on Malaysia Airlines' website, a number of Twitter accounts, including those of US Central Command and Newsweek.
