    CIA Allegedly Warned Catalonia of Possible Van Ramming Prior to Barcelona Attack

    The US Central Intelligence Agency has warned the Catalan police of possible terrorist attack prior to the van ramming in Barcelona's city center on Thursday, according to local media.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The CIA has warned Catalonia police of possibility of a similar van ramming attack in Barcelona’s Rambla two months in advance, local media reported Thursday.

    A van crashed into dozens of people in Barcelona's city center on Thursday. El Periodico newspaper citing police reported that the incident with the van which drove 530 meters hitting pedestrians was confirmed to be a terrorist attack. The police classified the incident as a terrorist attack.

    Graphic footage has emerged, showing wounded people on the scene of the attack.

    After the incident two armed men have barricaded themselves in a bar in city center.
