Croatian Twitter users bared all to celebrate the fall of their government on Thursday, after just six trying months in office, Croatian news portal Index.hr reported.

On Thursday Croatia's parliament sought to conclude months of political infighting by giving Prime Minister Tihomir Oreskovic, leader of the country's coalition government since December last year, a vote of no-confidence.

Before the vote Croatian Twitter users had promised to bare their breasts online if the country's political deadlock was finally ended by parliament.

They used the hashtag, "Boobs for the fall of the government."

True to their promise, several Croats took to their Twitter accounts to celebrate the fall of the government, which political leaders said is likely to result in new elections.

As a result of the last elections in November 2015, a coalition of parties headed by the center-right HDZ party gained the most seats in parliament (59), followed by a coalition headed by the center-left SDP (56).

Following protracted talks HDZ's coalition formed a coalition government with political newcomers Most, who had taken third place having surprisingly gained 19 seats in parliament.
