MOSCOW (Sputnik) — A June summit of EU leaders has been postponed for five days due to the UK referendum on the country's membership of the bloc, a spokesman of European Council President Donald Tusk said Friday.

The summit was initially scheduled for June 23-24. The migration crisis, the extension of the EU sanctions against Russia, the foreign policy of the bloc and its security strategy are likely to be on the summit's agenda.

UK nationals are set to vote on June 23 in the in/out referendum on whether Britain should remain an EU member. In February, Prime Minister David Cameron and 27 of his European colleagues reached a deal to grant the United Kingdom a special status within the bloc.
