    Biden, Poroshenko Concerned About Worsening Situation in Eastern Ukraine

    US Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko agreed on the importance of making progress on the security and political aspects of the Minsk agreements, and expressed serious concern about the worsening security situation in eastern Ukraine, according to the statement of the White House press service.

    WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — US Vice President Joe Biden and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko are concerned about the deteriorating security situation in eastern Ukraine, the White House said in a statement after a phone call between the two leaders.

    "The two leaders agreed on the importance of making progress on the security and political aspects of the Minsk agreements, and expressed serious concern about the worsening security situation in eastern Ukraine," the statement said.
