MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the RTBF broadcasting company, two brothers were taken into questioning after the raid on Sunday.
The media outlet noted that even though the raids were linked to the Paris attacks, they were not targeting number-one suspect Salah Abdeslam.
The search took place on the border of the Molenbeek commune with a large population of migrants.
On November 13, a series of seven terrorist attacks in Paris left 130 people dead. The notorious Islamic State (ISIL, or Daesh in Arabic) terrorist group, outlawed in Russia and many other countries, claimed responsibility for the tragedy.
Belgium has decided to keep the high terror alert level in place until the end of 2015, after it was revealed that several attackers and an alleged organizer of the deadly Paris attacks in November were either born or lived in Belgium.
