"We noted the presence of three old ambulances, now transformed into vans, near the highway area. Persons of foreign origin were on board of these, one of whom is known to the British police. We brought these individuals to the station and took their fingerprints. These are British citizens of Pakistani origin. They do not speak French but they cooperate. No weapons were found elsewhere in the vehicles," a police officer told the newspaper.
Following the attacks in the French capital, the Belgian police have carried out several of anti-terrorist operations and detained a number of people in the Molenbeek district, after it was revealed one of the attackers lived there.
Earlier this week, Belgian police detained 10 people in connection to the Paris attacks during a series of home raids across Brussels, according to media reports.
