MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, Eurostat revealed that Russia ranked first globally in reducing greenhouse emissions (29 percent less in 2014 compared to 1990), while other industrialized countries such as Canada, Japan and the United States have increased their emissions over the same period.
"Carbon emissions don't respect boundaries and don't respect borders. It's vitally important that everyone around the world is taking the same initiative that Russia is taking in respecting the world itself," said during the ENES 2016 forum in Moscow.
