Crimea is ready to renew talks on about 30 Turkish investment projects frozen a year ago, a Russian lawmaker from Crimea, Ruslan Balbek, said on Friday.

SIMFEROPOL (Sputnik) – The decision to freeze talks on implementation of Turkish investment projects was made last November amid the crisis in Russia-Turkish relations caused by downing a Russian Su-24 aircraft by a Turkish F-16 fighter in Syria.

“The Turkish business expressed the willingness to revive talks on investment projects that had been adjusted earlier. The Crimean authorities are ready to start negotiations on unfreezing the projects, we continue work on attracting investments in Crimea,” Balbek told RIA Novosti.

He added that last year Turkey proposed to implement about 30 projects worth $500 million.

A Turkish delegation, comprising over 20 lawmakers and business representatives as well as an adviser to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, arrived to Crimea from Moscow late on Wednesday. The delegation is on a three-day visit to the peninsula to meet representatives of the local business community, the authorities and the Crimean Tatar minority.
