Nawaf Saeed Ahmed Malkiy, the Saudi ambassador designate to Pakistan, on Monday conveyed good wishes to the government of the host country and expressed hope for strong bilateral ties, speaking on behalf of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Nawaf Saeed Ahmed Malkiy held a meeting with Pakistani officials in the Saudi embassy in Islamabad.

"Khadim ul Haramain Sharifain [The Custodian of the two holy cities, in Arabic, one of the Saudi king's titles] aspires to have stronger relations with Pakistani government like in the past and wanted both countries to set an example of strengthened brotherly relations in the world," Nawaf Saeed Ahmed Malkiy said during the meeting, as quoted by the Pakistan Today newspaper.

The Saudi diplomat added that the bilateral ties had never been hindered by certain international and regional difficulties and expressed hope that they would develop in future.
