    Japan, S Korea, US Envoys to Discuss Measures to Counter N Korean Nuclear Threat

    According to South Korean Foreign Ministry officials, the nuclear envoys of South Korea, Japan and the United States are expected to meet on Tuesday to discuss measures to counter the growing threat of a nuclear conflict with North Korea.

    MOSCOW (Sputnik)  The nuclear envoys of South Korea, Japan and the United States are expected to meet on Tuesday to discuss measures to counter the growing North Korean nuclear threat, according to South Korean Foreign Ministry officials.

    The ministry's special representative for Korean Peninsula peace and security affairs Kim Hong-kyun will meet with his Japanese and US counterparts, Kenji Kanasugi and Joseph Yun.

    The envoys are set to discuss the implementation of new sanctions recently adopted by the UN Secretary Council in response to Pyongyang's September nuclear test, as well as other possible measures.
