In case of the United States continues its "provocative" actions in the South China Sea, China is ready to proceed with installing its planned air defense identification zone, local media reported Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — China is ready to go ahead with installing its planned air defense identification zone in the South China Sea if the United States continues "provocative" activities in the disputed area, local media reported Wednesday, citing Chinese army sources.

"If the US military keeps making provocative moves to challenge China’s sovereignty in the region, it will give Beijing a good opportunity to declare an ADIZ in the South China Sea," a source in the People’s Liberation Army was quoted as saying by the South China Morning Post newspaper.

In May, Beijing expressed discontent with a US warship sailing in the waters near the disputed Spratly archipelago, also known as the Nansha Islands, in the South China Sea.

Previously, US Secretary of State John Kerry expressed the United States' concern over the possible deployment of China's air defense systems to the South China Sea. China had also announced a possible creation of an air defense identification zone in the region, while US defense officials have stated that it will not be recognized by the United States.

China maintains that installing an air defense identification zone is within its right as a sovereign country.

"Regarding when to declare such a zone, it will depend on whether China is facing security threats from the air, and what the level of the air safety threat is," the Chinese Defense Ministry told the South China Morning Post in a written reply regarding the issue.

In 2013, China implemented an identification zone over the East China Sea, another region disputed among east Asian countries, requiring all aircraft passing through the area to declare their route.

The South China Sea contains a number of disputed islands. The Paracel Islands are controlled by China while being claimed by Taiwan and Vietnam. The Spratly Islands are contested by China, Taiwan, the Philippines, Vietnam and Malaysia. In the East China Sea, China, Japan and South Korea are locked in a dispute over exclusive economic zones and the use of maritime resources.

The USA doesn't expect to lose any ships or planes over their bravado in the South China Sea.

Once they do, they will take Chinese warnings much more seriously.

      But only then.

Gradually US power is being eroded worldwide as more nations become aware of the brutal agenda of this dreadful nation. The imperial power is already stretched to breaking point in the Middle East, East Europe and now the Pacific. Its 800 bases around the world are becoming a millstone, dragging the last few dollars out of its collapsing economy. The fall of Rome will be seen as a student party compared to what's in store for the 'land of the free'.

China had peaceful intentions all along, relying on dialogue with neighbors.
Provocative actions by USA leaves China no choice but to match US show of force.
China has the responsibilities to protect its neighbor from aggressive USA.
China also is protecting neighbors from FALSE US propaganda.

I do hope that Russia (and also China in ITS sphere ) will continue showing restraint, calm, patience towards the hegemonic forces. All they want is to provoke Russia into a massive military reaction which the hegemonists will turn into a massive pretext or excuse to harm Russia mortally, and all possible 'explanations' will be easily provided to their disciples/lacqueys/vassals ....Same applies to China.
Furthermore , let the hegemonists spend, spend, spend their capital ( if they still have it...) so eventually they will have to slow down, at least. Exhausted they will be. Then, maybe the penny or 'nickel' will drop : they will then realise that the multi-polar world has taken the
place of their demonic NWO. Finally, let the NA establishment/elites/military,nato/vassals etc. go through a time of FEAR, for a while, that there will be a Court one day to judge their atrocities. Then the world may pardon them and allow them to save face, also important.
Then they finally retire for good to NA where their own peoples might have a surprise for them.
      Dreadful scenario.
It would be much simpler, if the Us of NA just stopped encircling Russia, started their westwards slow withdrawal, gradually, close one base after another, in methodical order, develop the virtue of Humility(and here, the world would actually applaud them, sincerely I am sure), and somehow, nearly immediately, the atmosphere would change, the climate would be propitious to sincere talks and exchanges, which in turn would facilitate other problems to be solved, all this on the basis of 'NO DOMINATION, NO BULLYING'....and then miracle of miracles, the world would start having Hope for Peace. After that, time will come when the world will need to be purified, the world will need less to consume outrageously, the world will turn to more simple life, the world will ( am I asking too much, at this stage?)
need to come back to God and accept that He rules the world, His world, we are His creatures. He is the King : He will Reign. Then comes the time for spontaneous conversions without ANY pressure from whoever....

All it needs now is for Indonesia and the Philippines to warn the US to stay out then Japan and South Korea will be left out in the cold. Would also stop US trouble making and prevent a major conflict. US actions reminds on of a creatures last dying struggle.

armor, Those idiotic statements made by US are fallacious. Most of us are aware of the blatant lies and propaganda. When push comes to shove and half of the EU, East Asia is wiped out, I suppose the US (if they still exist) will be telling us that the Chinese, Russians started it. I hope China, Russia has the common sense to target the leaders.

Yes, yes, yes - and go ahead with it, finally. Don´t hesitate. At each and every corner on this planet the USA and its EU-slaves are penetrating foreign spaces. I can´t stand it anymore. When will the last US soldier finally leave our continent? When will we get rid of NATO? When will the Eurocrats finally start to think? When will we have a Russia free from Western threats?

      teddy j,
it would be a big mistake to do if China can/does not enforce it.
I don't think that China currently has the means. But that will change
for sure and then US activities of today will backfire.

Declairing such and such whatever zones would serve no purpose unless one is willing to pull the trigger when and if neccesary to do so. Talk won't do much good on this event as the Bullyer/s are too proud on their acts and the responder is too stubborn on his moves. One resolution to this event is and only the responder willing to make humongous moves to place all and beyond just defensive tools in contesting seas to show the real biting teeth, either Bulliers back off, or mean business.
