Russia's United Instrument Manufacturing Corporation (UIMC) will present an advanced system of troop command and control to India for the first time, a source in UIMC said Monday.

GOA (Sputnik) — On March 28-31, the Defexpo India 2016 exhibition is being held at Naqueri Quitol in the Indian state of Goa. UIMC is participating in the exhibition alongside other Russian companies.

"Our specialists in cooperation with [Russian state arms exporter] Rosoboronexport will present an automated control system for tactical units and equipment, which is part of the system, to the Indian side for the first time at the Defexpo India 2016 exhibition," the source told RIA Novosti.

Automated troop command systems allow military personnel, military equipment and reconnaissance to be controlled by one information network with the aim of increasing the efficiency of troop control.

UIMC, is a part of Russia's state technologies corporation Rostec, which has been set up to ensure Russia's high-tech production of competitive products in the field of technology and communications systems.
