A deputy sheriff in Texas is facing disciplinary action after a man he arrested recorded him texting while driving to the Fayette County Jail.

According to the Fayette County Record, John Glover was arrested two weeks ago by Deputy Daitwan Walker for misdemeanor theft after attempting to pawn a stolen item.

Complaining that his wrists hurt, Glover managed to convince Walker to handcuff him with his arms in front of him instead of behind him.

While being driven to the county jail, Glover reached into his pockets for his cell phone, which he then used to record Walker texting while driving.

The video of the deputy texting and driving was uploaded to YouTube last Friday under the username "John Glover."

The Fayette County sheriff's office told KEYE-TV that Walker was being penalized for breaking the law signed by Governor Greg Abbott in September, prohibiting Texas drivers from "reading, writing or sending an electronic message while operating the vehicle unless the vehicle is stopped."

Although Glover can file an official complaint against Walker, he has not yet done so.
