Moscow city police are on the lookout for a potential deadly detonation device. An unspecified amount of plastic explosives are on the loose in the Russian capital, and finding them will be incredibly difficult, seeing as they are reportedly attached to a runaway cat.

The owner allegedly called the cops, complaining that his feline friend ran away after he, for some unknown reason, decided to tie plastic explosives to its back. Strangely enough, the cat did not appear to be a fan of its owner’s game and took off, explosives and all.

A police rep told LifeNews TV the man called the fugitive in.

“The owner called and said he has no information about the cat’s current whereabouts and would like assistance in locating the animal.”

The cat is apparently very street-savvy and prefers to hang out either at the Moscow State University or the subway, where it was in fact, last seen. Moscow Metro authorizes have also joined in the search.

There has been no word on what will happen to the owner and whether his was a prank call, his mental state or why he had plastic explosives in his possession in the first place. And after this incident, perhaps he shouldn’t be allowed to have cats either.
