British Bodybuilder Father Kills German Pedophile With One Punch in Spain

Local press reports that a pumped-up British expat who killed a German taking images of his daughter in a restaurant was well known to local residents as "Victor," having lived in the area for one year.

A picture is emerging of the British man suspected of killing an alleged German pedophile with one punch after he discovered the man taking pictures of his daughter in a restaurant in Sotogrande, on Spain's Costa del Sol.

Devinder Kainth, 40, moved to the area a year ago with his wife and three children, who he reportedly ushered out of the restaurant before returning to lethally punch Sandro Rottman. According to media reports, Kainth spotted Rottman in the restaurant filming with an Ipad, and upon taking the device from him, saw images of his daughter on it which led him to attack the 43-year-old.

After attacking Rottman, Kainth returned to his home where he was later arrested in the early hours of Sunday. A spokesperson from Spain's Civil Guard confirmed that Kainth has been remanded in custody after appearing before a magistrate on Monday, and also told journalists that Rottman had been arrested just days earlier for the possession of child pornography. It is thought that Kainth was not aware of the arrest when he attacked Rottman, who was originally from Germany and had lived in the resort for a decade.

Local residents told the media that Kainth and his wife are both fitness fanatics who are well-known, according to the local OlivePress, for their matching black and white Range Rovers and high spending. Kainth is reportedly a regular at a local gym where he engages in a strenuous military fitness routine.

The resort of Sotogrande, a luxury development of 2,500 hectares which lies in the province of Cadiz, is home to some of the most expensive homes in Europe as well as sports facilities which have played host to international polo tournaments and golf's Ryder Cup.
